Blue Mountains

One of the things most of you told me to do while living in Sydney was to visit the Blue Mountains.

As I am a fan of nature and mountains, the name of this place was so attractive to me and I couldn't wait to have time to visit.

We went there on a weekday and we took the train on Central Station in Sydney to Katoomba Station (almost 2 hours trip). And then a little 20 minute walk to the Three Sisters lookout at Echo Point Katoomba.

The Three Sisters is a rock formation that represent three sisters who were turned to stone according to an Aboriginal legend.

It was really sunny and hot and we ate our sandwiches under the shadow admiring the majestic view of the Jamison valley.

Then we walked for about three hours through different trails looking at all kind of flowers, plants and butterflies.

We didn't go down the stairs to the fall because it had so little water and we've seen bigger and fuller ones, nor we tried the Scenic Railway -students budget-.

I recommend: take water, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat and something to eat as well as something to cover you up from the A/C inside the train. It should be an easy trekking nevertheless bring good sneakers.

We had the greatest time and I hope you're all able to visit this place if you happen to be in Sydney.
